This seller has listed this set many times over the past year, and there are never any takers. If he had any sense he'd split it up into individual manuals and offer shipping. Selling them as a group this way with no shipping makes for a very small pool of potential buyers.

Precisely! I have TONS of Maytag service literature but have a few gaps I would like to plug. I would definitely buy a modest lot of manuals if I KNEW that the one I wanted was in it. This has always been too cumbersome to bother with, IMHO.

Old MT Parts Manuals

Unfortunately they only go back to 1967 according to the sellers description, if they went back to the modern beginning of MT automatics [ 1949 ] I would buy them. They are located in the Pittsburgh area of Pennsylvania.

That's a lot of books in one place. I've had a couple of these binder systems over the years and disassembled them to put the books into binders. I tossed the stands and clipped binder systems, no room for that.

There is a seller on ebay that has apparently digitized the Let's Talk Service issues from 1955-62. $13.75

This isn't a complete collection obviously, but it's a start. The LTS issues from Maytag were usually pretty interesting, but these were updates and a little dealer-service propaganda not a comprehensive service library by any means. I would be nice to have the whole collection digitized - I'd have a lot more gaps on the bookshelves for sure!

Yes that is one of the nice things about digitizing, much of the stuff I can pitch then and its making for a lot more room. It's nice not having all of that paper stuff collecting dust. Having the ephemera on the latest version of the iPad with the retna display is better and easier to read, easier to find. No need for all that smelly old paper.

There are some advantages to "smelly old paper"-Doesn't "crash" unexpectedly-and I just like using it better-more user freindly than futzing with computers.Digital is NOT always forever!Paper when stored under right conditions-can last "forever"-as in Library of Congress.Digital medias are converted to analog for long term storage there.Paper items are preserved. The paper items can be digitaized as needed. But they keep the paper " Master"
