I did, but this one is a gas model... I know it could be converted, but I have made contact with the folks who sold me the washer (they are holding the electric version of this dryer hostage - I got the timer dial wrapped in last week's newspaper... LOL). I am going to keep my fingers crossed - but thanks for thinking of me David!!

But Paul, you could get a trio of appliances! A gas dryer at the left of the washer and an electric one at the right (or vice-versa). That would make an interesting setup!

Don't encourage me, Phil! Hubby is already suspicious about why I had been searching for propane suppliers in Ogden... LOL

Your welcome Paul.

I used to laundry for a neighbor when I was 11 and she had the Lady Kenmore washer in coopertone. That was probably my second favorite washer to use. She did not have a matching dryer.

Looks like the debut of the single-belt drive design that WP still uses today.

You COULD use a propane tank like for a BBQ. Yes, not ideal but it works. LOL! I know. I'm not helping...

Turquoisedude, I think you want it to complete a set. My understanding is that LP dryers now cost more to use than electric. Natural gas dryers are the cheapest to operate. IIRC my Dad told me when they built their home in 1968 propane was .19 cents a gallon. When ever i see turquoise laundry machines I think of Nathan Lane in "Birdcage". alr
