My Aunt's DW from 1955. I was born in 1955 but I remember that whole DW/Sink Combo with the Dial in that exact place. They had that in the kitchen at the Egg Farm until around 1961 or 2 when they replaced it with a Front Load GE Dishwasher, a P-7 40" Range with the Special Panels like John(combo) recently picked up. And a Freezer over the top GE Combination Refridgerator. All in Delicious (everyone's favorite) Avocado Green.
The Range that replaced was a Constellation Gas Range.

This pic is borrowed from a Member Here. I just LOVE this Range.

My Aunt Irma used to Render Fats on this range on Mondays.

Chicken Fat, Pork Fat, Lard, and always kept Bacon Fat.

Funny thing... It was kept in Enamel containers, Never Refridgerated, with a piece of Wax Paper on top in the Front Celler which in the middle of the summer was always about 50 degrees. It was dug down so far kind of like Granny Clampett's Rut Celler !!!.

We ate things cooked in that fat, with Heavy and Sour Cream, and no one ever died from Cholesterol or Heart Disease until they went on "Medication".

Feh... Go Figure.

Just the "Constellation" is so Futuristic.

That Range (as a child) cranked out some of the most Memorable Meals and Tastes I can still remember. Aunt Irma Rocked !!!
