Hi!

Sorry guys for I wanted to share this with all of you a long time ago.

It took quite a while, but now I am ready to post some pics of my ''collection'', beginning now with these few photos. Images took with a Fuji disposable cam, so high quality pictures are not to be expected. Just wanted to capture the moments, simply!

... to be continued.

Twin tub washers...

... Actually there were six of them (now five since my 0632 has been sold in January)

Vacuums...

... Equally all Hoover machines, except the brand new Miele S6 from Germany

Old Hoover model 0610...

... Wearing a shawl especially fit for twinnies (!?!)

A sample of spin mats...

... Which some people--me included--like to collect, for fun!

And a radiation detector...

... What was I thinking about, buying this?? North Korea?

Thanks for sharing the photos, John!

If you have extra black rubber spin mats that you would consider selling, I might be in the market for one. The only ones I've seen online are available in Australia or the U.K., and shipping is quite expensive.

Brad,

In fact, have only a few ones (including a couple bought from FastTrackSpares in Australia, via eBay) and must keep them so that every machine has its own sp mat

Sorry! (I too tried to locate someone in America who could sell them, unluckily)

More photos coming soon, stay tuned!

Very nice! I didn't realize that twin tubs were radioactive... better have mine tested. Hehehehe.

VERY Nice Collection Indeed!!!!!

Love the way you lined them up for their big 'photo-op'. They look great together!
It seems you have more of the older or "original" model(s) in your collection.
Is that white one at the back of the lineup the one like mine that you sold in January? That is still such a cool model, I feel.
Nice vacuum collection as well-glad to see you are an intelligent 'modern' user with that Miele S6. I have 3 Miele canisters and an upright S7 that I gave to a good Friend who needed an most excellent machine for her Condo.
Saw a vintage Hoover Upright locally on CL yesterday so I'm gonna attempt to attach the link (I haven't mastered that procedure yet).
Have a wonderful day and happy Twin Tubbing!!!

Thanks to all for the nice comments!

For the photo I wanted to get all of 'em in one shot (including the one in the bathroom) so had to 'play' with angles.

Yes, TwinTubber, the washer at the back of the line is the one I sold in January. Alas. Indeed, it is like the one that you have (model 0632). A pretty cool model and one of the best Hoover twinnies ever made--if not 'the best'.

I like the Miele quite a lot. Lightyears better than our previous Samsung (though good in its own right). And the Miele comes with a 10-year service warranty which is not bad either. However, my *favourite* vacuums are still the good old Connies.

Not sure, barcoboy, if our beloved twin-tubs are 'radioactive' but what I am sure of is that most of them are actually 'active' (one hopes so)!! lol
