Panels

I would be interested in taking the white panels. Are they the kind that screw directly into the door and don't need the frame?

KA adjustable feet

Hi,
do you still have the adjustable feet from the frame?
are the large hex bolts/nuts and fiber washers on the sides bolting the thin frame to the tub still there?
and is there a bottom back cross-brace with this unit?

regards,
David

Trim

volvoguy87's profile picture
I could use a bottom panel(one is completely missing) and the chrome trim strips on either side of the door that go all the way down to the sides of the lower panel. Also, if no one wants it, I could use a spare timer for a Supurba.

frame

David: since there was no interest in the tub we decided to use it and the frame to construct a sandblasting cabinet out of it.
Dave: the panels were spoken for, sorry.

Behind door number 2, we have

Cameron,
I have a few sets of the vari-pak panels with the frames that I can let go of. That way you can have your White ones as well as Black,Almond or Harvest Wheat! They have the frames so you can even put a custom panel in if you want. That way your machine can stay current with the latest color trends whatever they may be.
They are a bit on the heavy side and the shipping box will be large, but mailable.

If anyone else is interested, let me know as it's time for spring cleaning!

Good Things.. Small baskets???

Cameron,
The small items baskets can still be purchased new thru whirlpool They may not be blue but grey but they are still around. They come in some of the models they are selling today.
They also appear on ebay from time to time.

No one seems to want the KDP-18 specific parts like timer, light sequence panel, etc and we can't abide throwing that kind of thing away when someone will need them at some point, and seeing as you seem to be the chief KA guru and source of parts/info, do you want them (free)? Had your hotmail eMail but thought hotmail was toast, gone, kaput... let me know if interested.

send pics of the 'Blaster! proj'

Hi there,

Ok thanks for the headsup on the 'new' proj.

I am still busy trying to remove my 53 Bendix dryer drum from the cabinet and the drum felt is really putting up a fight at the front bulkhead hole. I don't have a service manual for this unit and have to rely on inspection mirror and twin spot lights to figure out what the hell is causing the blockage at the front drum neck.
Almost a full dismantle too!
Cleaning and reoiling motor end caps at present, the lint dust is everywhere and in everything and Bendix managed to 'hide' almost everything including 20amp fuse, solenoid, wiring diagram!, even model/sn# tag in the Most inaccessible places imaginable!! PITA maintenance!
Post pics of the 'blast cabinet-wonder where you'll put the arm holes though?

David

Sand blaster-

firedome's profile picture
the sump makes a perfect drain for the sand to exit, we've (our uncle that is) made one before using an old metal tub d/w. Have to fabricate the front panel with arm holes out of plywood and rubber gloves attach to those. This may not happen for awhile, so pics may be delayed, lots of car & camp projects the next few months as it warms up.

The Outlook on Hotmail.

My Hotmail email still works but they converted the really easy inteface that hotmail had into another really ridiculous version of Outlook. I live with it because I have had the account for nearly 20 years and it works for me. I also use Yahoo mail classic and various versions of the real Outlook, Outlook web access and outlook express.

As far as the parts go, I would not mind having them that way someone here will have them in time of need! Does the time say KDS18 and KDP18 on it. I have a kDS20 timer that is used for both models.

If you feel like packing them up and sending them, send me an email and I will give you my address.
