Great ad the seller has there.

First of all, the ad says $69.00 sale price, but then in the text it says $60 firm.

Second, no picture(s)!

Third, I don't believe "it's one of the first washing machines
Hoover ever made, 1948 or something."

Still, wish I could own it.

I wonder which one the "spare motor" is?

Hoover 0610

Yes, barcoboy, it's kind of a bit strange that the date says '1948' (maybe a typo or a misinformation, I'd rather say 1968 would seem to be more exact).

''Comes with spare motor etc.'' Indeed, what is the spare motor... and what means 'etc.' Is there another 'thing' given with the washer unit apart from a fill hose or, perhaps, a spin mat?

The price the consumer pays is the lowest cost indicated.

I see a phone # is provided on the page. The best is trying to get more infos.

If I may give a little piece of advice (which you probably already know anyway), I'd say go for it, of course, but do not pay anything prior to seeing it with your very eyes. If there were some pictures it would have provided a much better idea of what exactly is on offer. Maybe - I say maybe - there is that dear little Hoover you were looking for my friend... We never know what treasures we may find. This is part of the thrill, after all.

Even though it is the model I am looking for unclejohn, I can't justify driving 7 hours to Toronto and back to pick it up, especially if there's a chance that for whatever reason a deal isn't made and I had to drive back with nothing. Yes I did drive to New York state to pick up my 0519 (8+ hours round trip), but that was for my first Hoover, and this is twice as far for my second one.

Hey barco!

Since this model means so much to you.
Contact the seller and get as much information as possible.
And if I can I will try to go and examine it for you to let you know if it is worth the trip or not.
Let me know and I'll try to help as best I can.

Thanks for the offer TwinTubber, but I can't justify the trip to pick it up. If it were a little closer, maybe, but Toronto is just too far for me to drive.
