Hey all!
So about just over a wek ago, i found thedryer that i'd been untig for for ages, the LG 10.2kg TD-V10115E.
The guy that had it also buys and sels washers and dryers like i do and he was happy to let me trade the Whirlpool heavy duty in on the LG as the Whirlpool was only 3 years old.
The main reason i wanted the LG is becuse it has a glass door. The eletronic controls, stainless steel drum and he fact that is bigger than he whirlpool, also helped ;)
My mom nd i did the deal yesterday morning and i did 3 loads in it. Thins, thicks, and the 8 larger th averagee beach towels we ued on holiday.
WOW! I LOVE THIS DRYER!!! t thins got the normal programme (medium heat, normal dry level and 41 mins default time) and the load came out dry 1st time. the ticks got heavy duty as there were a ew pairs of jeas (54 mins, High heat, normal dry level) and again, everything dry 1st time. the towels got the cotton/towels programme (55 mins, med high heat and normal dry level) they were slightly damp at the end so i out them back on a 15min time dry on high hat and they came out dry.
he dryer is whisper quiet and if it wsnt for the fact that i can ee the stuff tumbling and hear the dryer balls bouncing, i wouldnt even know its on.
the styling is als a winner and its so cool to see a big load like at getting tossed around.
i now have 2 LG dryers as daily drivers, this 1 and the 7.5kg.
this 1 does look a bit GE harmony-ish but thats fine, i like it.
thoughts and opinions welcome :)

1st load

WE reversd the door swing beause it suits us better to have it higed on the left due to where in te kitchen it stands and we had to take the dor off to get it n the house because the door handle was that little bit too far ut to go throug the door ways.
LOVE the glass door!

Beautiful looking machine Matthew, and no doubt a great performer too!

Enjoy!

Thank you, Darren. She really is a looker and performs as great as she looks (do you expect anything less from LG?). Will post more findings once I've had a chance to play around with all the cycles. Winter is creeping up on us so once its here in full swing I'll be testing it out on jerseys and things.

It's also sold as a Kenmore with Steam option. The woman down the street that had the clogged dryer replaced it with a machine just like this, with the steam option.
So far she's had it a few months and hasn't used the steam option. But she does like the way the dryer works.

Well I'm glad I'm getting good reviews. I imagined getting a few mouthfuls for getting rid of a whirlpool 27" with rear/top filter as a few members here really like them, as did I, but I couldn't pass up the great deal I got on the LG.
As for dryers with steam, that would be a really nice option to have, but asfar asi know we don't have any in SA that have that. I could be wrong, maybe bosch, siemens or aeg have 1 out here. A friend has an LG steam washer/dryer that steams on the dry cycle and he says it does a good job at getting the creases out.
I'm glad your woman down the street is as impressed as I am :)
