It made it's way from a warehouse in Beltsville Md. This soon will be my Daily Driver. No foodsoil can hide from this beast. This one has the Hobart style racks, washarms big motor and Tri-Dura tub with a WP Powerclean pump! Thanks John!

Those racks appear to be in great condition. Does this dishwasher offer a second rinse option?

Did all 23 series machines lack the porcelain interior?

KUDS-23

Glad it is going to get put back into use Nick, Yay, I just installed a new inlet valve on the ISE version of this DW this afternoon and as always I was impressed by how much water these move and they are still very quiet.

Unfortunately peoples obsession with noise has lead manufactures to build such lame DWs today, I think that this obsession with noise has done even more damage to the effectiveness of new DWs than the Department of Energy's regulations.

Ralph it looks like your DW is a KDS-21 which has a completely different pump and motor, still a very good DW, but I feel as do many others here that the WP Power-Clean pump and motor system was the best system EVER used on a DW built for home use...

That interior looks like porcelain to me. It may not be the triple coated porcelain interior that true Hobart dishwashers came with though.

Thanks Dan.  I thought "Tri-Dura" was a fancy term for plastic.

John, I thought my ISE Classic Supreme (model CLSUP-5) was a 22 clone.  How does one tell the difference?

Last ISE DWs

Ralph the ISE that I worked on this afternoon was a model WSSUP and these had the WP PC pump and motor, same as the KD 23s, ISE called these in their literature the water saver series.

Thanks John, my ISE still has the Hobart-designed pump and strainer.  Is there anything in particular to look for on it that would indicate whether it's a 21 or 22 clone?

DAH! Senior Moment I guess

Mine is a 21. I don't know what I was thinking. Reminds me of that line in Mr. Mom where he says "220, 221 whatever it takes..."
