hi everybody!!!

"hippiedoll"

i have a question that might seem kinda "dumb" but....

i wanted to know if when turning the timer dial, are you supposed to only turn it from left to right (clockwise) in one direction? or can you turn the dial in both directions??? would it mess something up if you did turn the dial from right to left (counterclockwise)???

the reason i ask is because when i turn my timer dial counterclockwise (from right to left) sometimes it seems like it messes the timer up & the washtub pulsator doesn't stop turning no matter how many times i try to put it on "off". it just keeps turning & turning, even when the timer is set to off. so, i'm wondering if i am messing something up with the time when i am turning the dial in both directions. please get back to me & let me know if i'm doing something wrong.

thank you in advance to any & everybody who answers.

lovingly,
christina :o)
peace.......

I know with my 0519 it doesn't matter which way you turn it. I always turn counter-clockwise from "Stop" to a cycle.

I also remember that with the 0610 the friend of my family had when I was really young, he always turned the timer counter-clockwise from "Stop" to whatever cycle he wanted to use. He never used the "Off" position though-he just left it in "Stop" and unplugged it.

Just confirmed in my 0519's manual, the instructions say "Turn TIMER to desired position". It doesn't say anything about what direction to turn or not turn.
