Hey Guys
Matt and I were on the bus this morning passing our friendly Euronics Centre- I suddenly get poked and he says WANT.... I was going in to order some bags and Matt was off to work. This is what we ended up with apart from the bags....

10 Minutes after we saw it...

The Scrap man called... It needs a new door gasket a major descale and the bearings are slightly noisy. Not a clue beyond that, but for a tenner including dropping it off(the owner knows me from my previous job and is a fantastic bloke)I wasnt too worried. He only adds 10% onto the cost of what I get from him as well :-)

An odd thing which I had forgotten..

One thing strikes me as odd on the Electrons of this type- they have a Full load as well as a Half load button......

nice one Seamus

the half and full load is the same switch behind the facia, they just toggle between each other, so it's full or half load. I suppose its a way of the machine looking like it has more options than it actually has.

I'm sticking my neck out and I'm sure I'll be corrected if wrong, is this a comet exclusive, I rescued a round door 800 version, but it's in a worse visual state to this one. Also Robs sister has the matching dryer.

How many Knobs Per Square Inch?

I am glad you said that Mat coz I thought that, a cheap way of making the machine look more techno ;-) (no offence intended)

The soap draw buttons often got bunged up with soap powder and the button would stick, all these buttons can get stiff, easy way to sort them is remove them wash them dry them then spray furniture polish (silicon) on them not so much on the front but the sides where they rub with the cabinet when you push them back on the switches, that keeps them nice and slidey ;-)

I also thought a Comet exclusive aswell

So you have yourself a rare machine Seamus

I am sure a certain "Matchbox" fan will be on to give you all sorts of info about it

So congratulations to you both on your acquisition a nice one indeed

Gary
