Damn I would love to have one of those old KA's... but I'm not in love with it enough for that price AND to pay to ship it to So Cal.

God only knows what I'm going to do with this. :) I was a bit tipsy when I closed the deal last night. It seemed like a good idea AT THE TIME! I will admit that I'm not paying the asking price. I'll play with it for a few months and then it may be for sale again...

Very cool!  I like that the model identification tag states that it was destined to have SS Front panels.  I wonder if they were painted at one point.

Also, I wonder what is in the bags on the top shelf.....

It does indeed have SS panels that were painted, of all things, the dread ALMOND at some point in it's life. The bags on the top shelf contain a spare timer and pump. I have no ideas if these are bad items that were kept when replacements were installed or if they are indeed spares. My guess would be the former. Depending on how ambitious I feel it may get brought into the basement today and then I will know more.

Apparently this was the original dishwasher to house (built in 1958). The wife died at the age of 94 several years ago and new owner was just getting around to remodeling the kitchen. He said that it worked when he last ran it several months ago.
