I'm going to start to begin to thin my collection a bit and I want to offer these things to everyone here in Applianceville. This first item is absolutely FREE but the only catch to this deal is it must be picked up or shipped within a few weeks of when someone says they want it, I will not place any thing that I offer in storage, the idea is to find homes for some things or send them off to the crusher. As for what else I'm going to offer I'm not sure as of yet, but after I decided I will let everyone know. But some things do have to go.

Tonight I want to offer to Applianceville my 1959 D&M/Frigidaire Top Loading portable dishwasher. I changed the lid to a plexiglas top years ago, although it has warped a bit from the hot water and does leak a bit from around the seal, its still fun to watch. I will send the real solid porcealin lid with it...

eMail me if you are REALLY interested and ready to go. Any questions you have please post them here.

lint filters , speed queens, general electric

I would be interested in purchasing any metal or unique lint filters or dispensers and the control panels and agitators off of these machines. Thank you for your time. Speed Queen GKC

Georgious Dishwasher

If I had the room & lived closer I would (without hesitation) be interested. I have run out of room for portables & have to spell off one of my built in's for more vintage dishwashers. I have a GE Mobile Maid around the same year that looks very close to this dishwasher. I like the top rack in this machine much better. Easier access to the bottom rack. These machines clean very well if you rince & load right. Again georgious dishwasher. Come on, there has to be someone out there that can see that this machine not only does a good job but is SOOOOOO cool for a retro kitchen. Michael

is a wonderful idea! Although am a novice I appreciate the passion that more experienced members have with their pieces and know they would preserve your restoration works. Looking forward to other offers you make...

Nice dishwasher...I hope someone saves it!! If you're going to Krush it, let Mom know first! :)

I'd love to see what else you're offering; there will probably be something I *have to have* amongst all!

I've seen so much in the past few weeks that some things are a blur. Do you have a mint, all metal Hoover portable? Mine is yellow with a plastic interior. The original pump seized and even though one could get Hoover washer parts at the local Hoover vacuum main store until only a few years ago, I was unable to get the pump, so I've rigged a Sears Craftsman. If that mint metal Hoover is yours, and on the "thinning" list, I'd love to have it. Needless to say, If you start unloading Frigidaires, they'll be lining up all the way to the Netherlands to have at them--and boating in from Lake Erie--MOI !!!

Hi Robert,

I sent you an email in regards to this dishwasher, but I understand it may be spoken for. However, if its not, I would love it! Do you have any other upright dishwashers you are getting rid of?

I am new to this forum, and do not currently have any washers or dishwashers in my collection ( I collect vacuum cleaners), but would love to start a collection of both.

Thank you very much
Evan Rogers

Hi everyone. OK Ben was the first to email me about the dishwasher this morning so it goes to him.

I received a lot of email from people asking what else I'm going to sell or offer up. I have not decided on exactly what and when so the answer is for now I just don't know.

I can tell you guys that the next two things on my list are going to be two 1956 television sets. I'm going to sell the RCA CTC-5 Super color set and give away the RCA Blonde B&W (bottom). If anyone is interested in either set please email me.

Congrats Ben...if this is your first vintage dishwasher, you're in for some FUN!!! Especially an impeller-type portable with a clear lid!

Even though when I was little, I used to listen to our 1988 Jenn-Air (GE-design) wash, drain, and rinse, running that '75 Whirlpool for the first time really opened my eyes to the vintage DW world!!

Very nice vintage items Robert! Thats great that you are offering these items for the club members, rather than Flea Baying them. (:

BTW- If you decide that you have too many Frigidaires, please let me know. I am saving a spot for one in my basement. I think that 1958 set in turquoise would look FINE next to my pink 1958 Maytags! LOL!

Norgeman here

Hi Uni, thanks for letting all the members know first. If you are considering getting rid of a Norge, PLEASE let me know. It would be the first in my collection and my dream machine. Thanks, Rick

Saturday morning TV

Robert
Thanks so much for the offers and especially the TV's. That blonde RCA is the set I grew up with. I can still remember the clunk..clunk..clunk of the tuner and watching the back-lit channel indicator change. Fascinating to a 5 year old! We had the 45rpm record changer with ours and another little box to tune in UHF stations. Funny tho, I only remember the 3 Cleveland stations.
But what was better than Saturday morning cartoons, Mighty Mouse and Popeye, and Mr. Wizard with Don Herbert and sitting with my Gramma during the week watching "Queen for a Day" and the original Divorce Court. She cried a lot over those. Guess that explains a lot today. LOL Lots of memories there.

If I only had room I'd be there in a shot to pick it up!

Thanks again, Bill...

As requested I posted pictured and info about the 1956 color TV in a thread inside the Super Forum. We can continue this discussion there.
