Hi everyone. I just bought an Electrolux Wavetouch EWDW6505GS dishwasher. It hasnīt been delivered yet. Iīm terrified with all the comments and opinions Iīve read about it. Does anyone know anything about it? Should I go for the Kitchen Aid Superba EQ series KUDE60FXSS, (model available only in Mexico) which is almost the same thing as model KUDE70FXSS in the US which is TOL??? What do you people think??? Iīm worried about it.

Electrolux is a new brand here in Mexico and I donīt know if the customer service is effective or if parts are in stock yet. I own the Wavetouch washer and dryer and havenīt had any trouble with them for 1 year. But people talks marvelous things about them, and not the same for the dishwasher.

I own a Kitchen Aid EQ series dishwasher right now not TOL, but wanted to have a TOL dishwasher of any good name brand, it has been great since day one. We use it very much. I really donīt want to experience any trouble with one for at least 5 years.

I didn't have much luck with my KUDE40fx breaking down after only 11 months so needless to say I'm not too impressed with KA dishwashers. It's the identical dw as the KUDE60fx minus a cycle or two.
Whatever you buy, get an extended warranty just in case.

In speaking with sales people

They usually rate the Electrolux and it's cousin Frigidaire as "builder" grade. Most are referred to as "dish wetters" instead of washers.

I bought the Kitchenaide, and am very happy with it. I did buy the extended warranty, however, Whirlpool did build it.

Thanks for your opinions!!!

I have contacted the salesperson at Liverpool, which is where it was bought from, and she told me that if I have any problem with it or didnīt like its performance I could return it and buy the Kitchen Aid instead, so Iīll try it and will make you know my experience with it. Hope to be one really satisfied Electrolux TOL dishwasher user!!!
