Hi guys,

I hope this is in the right forum. 2 days ago I appeared on a local TV show about the 'Collectomania' exhibition here at the Queensland Museum until the end of December 2013.

As you'll see, two of my machines, some washing powder boxes and the Frigidaire Lightbox are currently on display. Obviously, my main goal in contacting the TV show is to try and find the ever elusive Simpson 'Fabulous 89'. I'm very pleased with the amount of coverage the actual brochure and my T-shirt got in showing the machine.

Who knows what will come of it.
Cheers
Leon

Awesome, Leon! You looked and sounded great and it was a fun segment. Who knows, you might get a call that your dream machine is still out there waiting for you - exposure is the first step.

At first when you were on for only a few seconds, I got sad and anxious, but then you appeared for "your show," and it was wonderful. Your happiness is so evident that it made me smile big. This Holy Grail Simpson--would you show us a still shot and features when you get a chance? That full-box wringer looked so minty, and how cool and vintage that you selected a Conventional and a Twin-tub Hoovermatic as examples. The Automatic-Only Police won't be getting their donuts today. LOL.

Nice! Happy for you! It must have been an hassle moving all those machines from your home to there...I would have never brought mines for fear to damage them during transportation!

Well, you have until the end of the year Chris.
Happy to host you if need be and show you the collection in person.
The Miele is up and running, thanks to Nathan who provided a replacement pump for me.

Moved the Miele into its spot yesterday afternoon, now just need a hand to put the dryer on top and all should be fine.

Cheers
Leon

I like your vintage Laundromat/coffee shop idea. Maybe you should start collecting vintage coffee makers too.

What a collection, and how absolutely radiant and proud you looked. Nobody but us collectors, can understand the joy and elation you get when you find a machine you have been searching for. Great job, and hope you find that elusive machine, you're searching for.
