Another of our members seems to be "thinning the collection" as well! There are some nice machines here - snap 'em up! This is the Kenmore pic, also an early 60's Maytag and a cool Norge from the early 70's.

Finally

After hanging around this site forever hoping to see the washer I grew up with. This is it!!!!
We had a cubby hole off the breakfast room with these slatted doors and I still remember the neat way those machines lit up that area at night.

I feel better.

That Norge looks like the one I gave to someone around here.

The GE 20 inch range

I remember some advertising for this range where GE mentioned that if you needed a stove for preparing large quantities of food, two of these would fit into the space of a standard 40" range and would provide two full sized, clock-controlled ovens along with 8 surface units (never mind the hard-to-clean seam between the two stoves).

The Maytag looks great... must be an 806, right?

I'm wondering, though, what's that blue plastic ring for?

The Maytag is actually an A700, predates the '06 series which came out in '66. This washer is from '62-ish.

Blue plastic ring?

GE Range

You're right about the impossible to clean seam between the two ranges, but I've seen plastic/rubber seam covers in catalogs like Miles Kimball, etc. that would cover this space. That would look nice.

GE range

That has the exact same control set up as mine, but a more built in clock, improvements over 2 years I guess. I might have to try for that!

Wow - if that is spring cleaning, what else is there! That A700 will make it's new owner very happy. Nice lookin' Kenmore and Norge as well!
