And to think

that I didn't even know that Maytag even made commercial washers, I thought they only made residential units!

They Don't

IIRC some or all of Maytag's commercial W&Ds are rebadged units. Or, it just may be the front loaders, which think may come from Primus.

Cimberlie is right - the huge S/S frontloaders (called washer-extractors in the industry) are made by Primus in the Czech Republic, whereas the dryers are made by ADC.

Regular viewers of the British BBC soap EastEnders will notice they have operational Primus washers in the launderette scenes :-D.

Here's the link to Maytag's commercial laundry equipment. They make many models.

And, in reality, if you have a 50# washer, you need a 75# dryer to dry effectively.

EastEnders

The widow Pauline Fowler runs the laundrette, along with the chronically chain smoking Dot Cotton.

Bonous points for anyone who can say what other famous British sitcom "Pauline Fowler" was in.

PRIMUS is NO Czech Republic company!!! It's pure belgium with a production unit in Czech Republic since 2 or 3 years. PRIMUS was started as an domestic washer and light industrial washer company is Gullegem near Kortrijk in the West-flanders. IPSO also started around Kortriuk in wevelgem. Both produced washers and dryers in Belgium but since a few years Primus has moved their production unite to Czech Republic but I think that the main quater is still in Gullegem.
