Hi, I've got my hands on a WMF540G with broken bearings, I've filmed 2 cycles in it and the machines performance is amazing. Although, the sad bit is the bearings are shot and the tub is sealed. So, I was planning on getting rid of it, but the thought of the WMA22 tub going in it sprung to mind. The WMF540G has a 6KG drum, the WMA22 is only 5.5 KG. If I were to swap the tubs around, would the motor and concrete still fit on? I've thrown out the WMA22 weights, so I'll have to see if the WMF540 ones will fit on, but more importantly the motor. The WMF540G tub also has the pressure chamber fitted onto the tub, the WMA22 had the pressure chamber on the sump hose, I still have that. I ask if it will fit becuase the machine is the youngest machine I've had and the condition is amazing.

I'd greatly appreciate help, I cannot check these due to the tub being in storage off site.

Thanks

Chris.

Obviously my interest lies with much older or vintage machines but I am not unfamiliar with the workings of these modern Hotpoints. Yes both tubs are interchangeable as the sealed tub was originally moulded from the split tub moulding just welded together. I can give you an educated guess that the weights etc will fit.

James.

You're not going to put the bath on Hotpoint Hotpoint WM22 WMF540G. Because this tub from WM22 is not compatible on WMF540G, there mount the motor on the left.
