Look what I got! I believe it is a '63(ish) Kenmore 600. It operates well. The previous owner removed the lint filter apparatus, changed the agitator & covered the console with "wood grain" contact paper. I would like some advice on how to get the console cleaned/renewed and how to get the cabinet painted. Thanks

I need to find a dryer to match as close as possible.

You can use a heat gun or hair dryer to remove the contact paper. Then wipe it down with some goo gone.

Work the HI - LO rim on top to get the fins extended all the way, and Oh, what a ride the load will have.

Trouble

I was doing a load of clothes yesterday. I looked behind the machine as I noticed some moisture on the floor & saw that there was water "spitting" very lightly out of the back of the machine. I obviously have a leak. Does anyone have any ideas where I should look first? I did not have time to look. It is in my house in Chattanooga & I had to return to South Carolina today.
