Hello everyone, I am in need of a circuit board for a Maytag DE808 electric dryer. A recent storm took the circuit board out. The dryer works fine, just won't heat. The local repair service said the board was no longer available. I know better than to believe that. This set still looks like new and has never had an issue, I am not about to see them junked now. Does anyone have any suggestions for finding the circuit board? I have looked online and found nothing. The shop that told me they had the board did not have the correct one. Thank you for any help!

Check before ordering---

I think the circuit board has nothing to do with the heating circuit. The heat is switched on and off by the selector switch. The electronic controll just stops the dryer when the clothes are dry. Be sure to check the heating element. all thermostats, motor switch, and selecter switch contacts. The first thing to check is for proper voltage to the dryer, the storm may have triped one side of the 240V circuit breaker.

Board ordered!

Thank you for your help on where to find the circuit board. I ordered it yesterday. I was thinking about the other possibilities of it not being the circuit board, however, the dishwasher and the dryer both got damage during the storm. The guy replaced the dishwasher circuit board, but said the dryer board was not available. I suppose there is good chance it is not the board, but it was fine before the storm. Here's hoping it works. I will keep you posted.

New board, no luck...

You were right, a new circuit board was installed and no luck, still does not heat. The odd thing is that the small light bulb on the new circuit board does not light up, could this indicate something? I am not an expert on dryer repair, what about a fuse in the dryer? Other than not heating, it works just fine. Since it is hot outside, two cycles and the clothes are about dry without heat. How would I test the thermostat?

Most times on those dryers, you will either find a bad heating element, or a wire burned off at the element.

Have you checked those? Also, are all the fuses in the  household fusebox OK?

I'll check it out

The fuse box is ok. I just figured since it stopped heating after a storm it would be something internal like a fuse or circuit board like the repair guy said. It made sense at the time since the dishwasher needed a circuit board. I will take it apart and have a look at the element. Thank you for your help! I am no expert on dryer repair, and I am NOT calling another service tech out to tell me "you cant repair this, its to old".
