Ancestry.com now has vintage Sears catalogs from their start in 1896 right up to their final edition in 1993. Therefore, you'll be able to see vintage merchandise from different eras, especially Kenmore laundry washers & dryers and dishwashers for the sake of this site! You can subscribe to a free month-long trial. See prices for memberships on monthly, annual, and semi-annual bases.

Sears Catalogs on Ancestry.com....

I signed up for my month long trial yesterday. And I did get a chance to look at some of the catalogs that I do not have in my collection.

And then I did FINALLY answered the question which was burning inside me for such a long time.

While I have seen some Lady Kenmore Washers from the various years and from various eras, I have never seen what a 1962 Lady Kenmore looked like. Well, I finally got that chance yesterday. And the answer is, there WASN'T a Lady K produced for 1962 (at all).

It was a JUST a Model 800 (Four Star) Machine back in 1962. But it had a console just like the 1963 that followed a year later, and thus, it was finally rebadged as a 1963 Lady Kenmore Model 800.

It was fun scrolling through all of those old catalogs over the last two games. I finally got to learn a whole lot in the last two days than I have learned in my 13 years as a member of this club.

Great site, you should try it. But you still have a chance to opt out before your month's trial is over.

It cannot get any better than this.....

These catalogs were a trip down memory lane. I found so many of the toys from my childhood that I had forgotten about. Does anyone have any links to other Sears/JC Penney catalogs?

Free Trial...

A bit of correction, the free trial is actually good for two weeks, otherwise you'll be charged $19.95.

Oh,MY

Look at the 27'' tall TOY washer on page 386 in the '62 Wishbook.''Holds up to a quart of water''.

I had several crank/battery toy washers as a kid,but none were that sizable.

Wah,I WANT one!
