hello to all aw members,

i would like to know how i can notice a start of bearing failure on my 2004 duet washer *please note that i am not talking replacement here thank you* because yesterday i had a very small load to do and as it was washing i heard a small squaking sound so idk if its just a loose strap or bearing starting to fail i am no tech so i would not do the repair myself if ever that was the case.

and also is it typical on 2004 duet washer for the wash tub to fall off?

thank you

you will hear a roar or rumble once the bearings have been damaged by a leakey seal-a squeaks and squeels most likely the belt or suspension. The commutator of a brushed motor can sometimes squeak a little at low tumble RPM too.

Very Loud Roaring During Spinning. You could also pull it out, remove the back and see if there are any signs of rusty water running down the rear surface of the outer tub FROM the bearing, although you might not see that until you hear the noise.
