I remember seeing one of the Round Jackson's in Arkansas at a coffee shop as a little kid. They still make them (check out the link). The dishwasher in the pic is a Hobart wm-5h think its about 15 years old. Orginal cost was 2160.00. On ebay the other day, one of the same models just a few years newer went for over 2000.00. couldn't believe it. Guess the people thought it was a newer LX model. Had a WMc1 before the wm5h, but the timer went south and Hobart sold the last one in the country about a month before i went to buy one. Should have kept it though, DOH!!! The wmc1 had the same guts and body as the really old kitchenaids, the 5H has the same pump and body as the kitchenaids before Whirlpool got a hold of em. The only thing, the pump material is pretty crappy. When its new it is slick, seems like plastic. But after awhile, it seems like it is made of some kind of pressed fiber. don't care for Jackson's. The one at the daycare that replaced the 2nd hobart, wasn't that great. Didn't get me very wet when i watched it with the door open. Since there was no wash arm on top, there would be one tray that wouldn't get a spray in the rack. Liked the fresh water rinse though. I could go on and on, let me know if you want to know more.
