Just to let anyone know who might have been part of the bidding for the Lady Kenmore set. They are scamming the customers who did not win, by offering a second chance offer on the pair. It happen to me and Thank God I am a member here and was able to read the threads to know who won them and that indeed he is going to purchase them!
I have contacted ebay, but I guess when something goes that high, everyone wants a piece of it! They are very convincing in their emails.

Is it the real seller offering them, or someone pretending to be the seller? Very Fishy!

wondering............

Would the Email addresses of the non-winners be available to anyone else ? Or would the seller be the only one with that info? I certainly hope it is not the seller.

This happens more and more

These scam are not purpetrated by the sellers. It's creeps who read the bidding history and send bogus second chance offers to non-winning bidders.

Glenn

Can you copy and paste it on here? I'm not sure I understand what your saying. How can you have a second chance without the product?

Good news! Buy The Item You Recently Bid On!

Note: To purchase this item, do not reply to this email and do not click on the Respond Now Button, as you will not receive an answer. Contact the seller by forwarding this message at this e-mail address: lvUJEGR@aol.com .

You expressed interest in an item titled 1958 Pink Lady Kenmore Washer and Electric dryer (Item #7584863868) by bidding, however the auction has ended with another member as the highest bidder. In compliance with eBay policy, the seller of that item is making this Second Chance Offer to you at your last bid price of US $2,364.25 because the winning bidder was unable to complete the transaction. If you accept this offer the transaction will go strictly according to eBay's rules and policy regarding to this Second Chance Offer.
After receiving this offer you are obligated to contact the seller: marce1256znm( lvUJEGR@aol.com ),confirm or decline the offer.
This was the EBAY member they tried to scam. The sad part is she fell for it and almost lost her money. I alerted her of mark winning and told her to cancel the sale.
Anyway huge mess, big investigation with legal going on. It saddens me that people try to gain off of others.

The sad part is it actually came through her ebay message on the ebay website, therefore she really thought is was true.

Unless the seller has more than one email account, that is not the correct email address. Still, I'd want MY machines in my hands ASAP, and there better not be one thing wrong either.

It's like I said

Like I said, this stuff is happening all the time now. If a crook can get you to think that you still have a chance on the item and can get you to paypal the money to them, they just scored. They close down their accounts and move on to the next victim. Don't trust a second chance offer. If you have an eBay account, you can get the high bidders email and verify with them that the transaction fell through. You can also verify it with the original seller. Nobody should be naive enough to fall for such blatant scams. And most of this scamming is coming from outside of this country where there really is no regulation or penalty if you do get caught.

The Kenmores

The Kenmore's were paid for immediately after the auction. So I hope no one falls for this scam. If you received the message from what looked like an Ebay seller you should FORWARD the email to: spoof@ebay.com IMMEDIATELY. The actual seller is unaware of any of this. Mark

Something fishy going on.

I remember last October I bid on a Christmas ornament. I was outbid at the last minute by a "snipe" bidder. The item was relisted the very next day, and this time, no one else bid on the item except for, none other than the same snipe bidder that outbid me the first time. This time he or she got the item for starting price, but before the auction ended the second time, I contacted the seller and asked him or her two things. Was this the same item that was listed last week, and how tall is this item. The seller responded about three days later but only answered the height question. Anyway, I think there is a buddy system going on among some sellers and buyers, and I think this practice is wrong. I also think some of the users are hiding something.
