I bought a floor-model Huebsch LTZ85 washer which will be delivered next week and hope it works OK.
Huebsch in Canada is the sistor brand of Speed Queen in USA. From Huebsch website, the newer models after 2003 are called LTZ9*. LTZ8* are older models before 2003 and may not be available "brand new" now.
Comparing LTZ9* and LTZ8*, it seems the older models have better features; 1) LTZ8* uses electro-mechanical timer and has HEAVY (15 min), NORMAL and LIGHT wash times for REGULAR cycle; and NORMAL and LIGHT each for PP and Delicate cycles
LTZ9* uses electronic timer and has one fixed wash time (9 min) REGULAR cycle; and one fixed time each for PP and Delicate. (This applies to the newer models from Speed Queen.)
2) One model of LTZ8* has internal heater (LTZ85). None of LTZ9* has heater. (Speed Queen has heater in one of their newer models.)
It seems that the older Huebsch FL is more flexible. It costs practically nothing to include these features in the electronic timer of the newer models. What has happened to the Huebsch engineers?
