Hi Louis, the overall external difference is purely the ROUND programme indicator as opposed to the TIMELINE on the earlier 3224, and turquoise cabinet. Very little difference inside other than an updated programmer module - to take account of extra keyplates required for Cold Fill only and Hot and Cold fill...
The main difference was the Programmer Wiring loom, the first keymatic 3224 had the lower terminal block sited on the baseframe, which was fine for access until the drum suspension wire dropped or worn and the drum dropped onto it and smashed it.. The later 3226 had the wiring loom and distribution block moved to the side allowing more clearence.. Heres the 3224 with the terminal block on the baseframe..
