Hy all!

I am very pleased to announce you all then at end we are having one of the biggest Italian wash-in we've never made before!

We've been organizing since last Spring and the definitively date are the following 12nd-13rd October 2013.

The happening will have place in one of the most ancient castle of Tuscany, near Lucca. It's called Villa Benedetta and is a 17th century build, like won't be otherwise here in Italy !!!
Thanks Paolo for that, the owner, whose availability is essential so that all may be possibile!!

Participants will be welcoming the saturday morning and there will be lot of machines hooked-up together:

- Indesit L5BIO
- Indesit L12 (dishwasher)
- Ignis Corsara (dishwasher)
- Ignis Superautomatica K563
- Candy SA88
- Minerva Totalmatic
- Zoppas Superautomatic 565
- Rex S54

Some of those you can find on youtube because they've already been uploaded but of course we're taking lots and lots of video and pics of everything!

Don't worry if someone of you would wanted to partecipate, we're already planning a next 2014 Spring Italian Washi-in new date!!!
The stake includes meals (and wine!!!) for two days and overnight, and the free hooking of any machine (one each/ group) you wish to bring with you!!

Stay tuned! You'll see washing, boling, rinsing, spinning and steaming some of the most rare machine of 60s!!

Good BYE
Diomede

Done!

I'm so happy to have had such a good time with such lovely people indeed fot two days! It seemed to be impossibile to have wash-in here in Italy too and... trust in me, this really sounded to all the partecipants like a "convention". There was plenty of italian meals and of course o italian washing machine... we have boiled, soaked, rinsed and spun everything!!

Here you are though the pics of sunday breakfast...

and

the pics of the wash time! We're wearing the t-shirt we used to clean the dishes (that was the crazyness!!) before to put'em in the dishwasher and... to be soaked in one of the machine featured with the BIO (timed soak!)... that was the wonderful result!!

By the way, the words are "Or che bravo sono stato" wich was the beghinning of a very famous Candy slogan of CAROSELLO in the 60s. Carosello was a series of TV ads tipical of Italian 60s TV.

We had really a good time that we can't wait to have wash-in againt as soon!!!

Congratulations Diomede on all of you getting together, what a fab place for a wash-in and convention, the setting, washers, great company and oh the food, sounds devine.
Now make sure you post names so we know who`s who!!

Keep us informed of the dates, have done Liverpool to Pisa and beyond and few times, so would be great if a few of us from here could attend.

T-shirts and wash game

Yes, we had T-shirts like a gadget of the event too.. and it was my idea! I remember my sister used to do the same during my last birthday, when we played a WASH-GAME

Very Glade to have Liverpool delegation too in future when we're having the next meeting!!!

Was on the PBS News Hour here in the USA the same day you posted the party pix. It was a really fun coincidence. Got a real kick out of it.

How exciting to have held the wash-in inside a castle. So cool and original. You all look amazing, so handsome and trim, must be the genuuine Italian food and all the walking.

it must be the southern sun...

man, you guys look awesome! So many (more than half of the crowd) that I would have nodded a "yes" to.

But let's put that joking aside: Where are the machine pics and the action videos? So curious to see them.

Congratulations to your gathering, marvelous!
Joe

Hi Diomede, congratulations!

Can you tell us something more about the "RECORD" machine?

Thanks :)

Ingemar

THANKS!!!

Thank you all guys for the compliments! Well, It wouldn't have been the wash-in you see if we weren't ITALIANI :)

An old castle for the location, very vintage machine which to play with and... of course the best of Italian kitchen, indeed!!! I didn't eat a lot but looking to the face of my mates after each table time It seemend they were having a very good time with those deliciouses!!!

Some of us are "veteran" of wash-ins someothers went the first in this event but as it has been the most wonderful wash-in I've ever made... guess what? I've already done the ad for the 2014 one!!! It'll be in the same place with the same conditions but with some "new" machines you've never seen before! I think the period will be April but keep-in-touch

Ingemar, the RECORD is the same machine you can see on LAVAINDOSSA chanel on youtube. It's branded Minerva, which was a TV brand too here in 60s and on, it would seem like a SILTAL, another famous 60s Italian Brand but the structure is a bit different. Program knob, temperature knob (until 100°C boiling!) 2 lamps (on and heat), and 3 pushbuttons whose function we'v been wondering a lot but honestly we found A is for low level, B is for delicate agitation and C is for no-spin cyle but I'm not sure...

Anyway... it was a dream to have wash-in in Italy too like in the States and everywhere else in the world since the 2008 when I did the first but they were only some experiments until now... the STAFF is improved!

:)
