I have a mid 50s Maytag N2L wringer washer with an ancient drain hose that's about to blow out on me from age. I'd like to know if there's a trick to removing the original threaded drain head from the old hose and attaching it to a new one.
There are replacement hoses available on eBay, but the discharge is missing the thread, which I happen to need. Thanks. |

Hi Larry,
Thanks, but it's the actually hook-head itself. I'm looking to remove it from the old hose and perminenently attach it to a new one. I'm asking if there's a hidden internal piece like a compression fitting that locks the hook-head onto the hose. It can't just be glue, they hold so well after all these years. |
