I have to admit I'm enthusiastic because the new Frigidaire Affinity seems to be galvanizing that the front-load wars of 2006 have begun!
The new Affinity 7000 offers an onboard heater--and metallic trim--for a mere $20 more MSRP than the 6000. Finally, a vendor is recognizing that heat alone doesn't justify a $400 price leap! Of course we don't yet know how MUCH heat... It could be 5 candlepower.

As of 11:09 pm MST today, Frigidaire's web page indicates:

ATF6000ES ENERGY STAR compliant Arctic White $879
ATF7000ES ENERGY STAR compliant Arctic White $899

Fair warning, this applies to Arctic White ONLY--Platinum Ice & Glacier Blue get nailed with another $100 premium. *ROTFLMAO!* That is a wee bit optimistic for PAINT.

Let the battles continue! Next up: He2t and Duet Sport...
