Here is my new KD-10 that I bought from Robert In Calif. I will get it by Dec 22, 2013. Merry Christmas to me!

Thanks Robert, can't wait to get it and install it in the vintage kitchen.

Joe

I'm so glad we were able to figure out a dishwasher appropriate to your kitchen!

Is this gravity drain or pump drain? Or are you planning to convert it to a pump drain?

Please keep us posted how this goes - I am going to be very interested to see it installed.

It is a gravity drain and I plan to keep it that way. I have a drain pipe under the house where I am going to install the dishwasher, so I am going to plum it in to that line.

I will keep everyone inform on the progress with picture when I get it.

That is really great news - a KD-10 kept original!

I think you're going to be very happy. There's nothing like an all-vintage kitchen, no matter what vintage it is. Mine's '60s/'70s - quite a bit later than yours, but it's being fun getting it the way I want it. As I'm sure you've seen in the Super forum, I just got the range of my dreams - a 1972 GE P*7 self-cleaner with the Sensi-Temp thermostatically controlled front burner.

looks like its in good condition for something of this age.

Those racks look flawless, which is hard to find in something this age.  It must not have received much use.

Can't wait to see pics.

Congratulations !

Yes, it is very low mileage and ready for a new life in a 1948 vintage kitchen. I am very excited to get it and it will look great and I am sure it will work great as well.

Again thank you Robert and to a great website of liked minded people.

Joseph

"...life in a 1948 vintage kitchen..."

Are you, by chance, doing, or do you already have a free standing farmers sink?

With that spray arm---

I'm sure dirty dishes won't stand a chance inside that machine. Looks like it will blast food grime off of dishes as far away as the moon.

Would love to see it loaded up w/ before and after pics once you've got it installed.

most I've seen of the pre-KA 12 series had spray arms painted a blueish color, is my memory faulty or perhaps this one has been repainted?

I've seen other pics of the KD 10s with Black Wash Arms.

I think they went to "Big Blue" on the 11 or 12 series...

Anyone ????

Not sure when they changed to blue, but the 10 series is definitely black and all of my 12 series are blue.
