Having a good go at Hoover in this advertisement. Hoover and Simpson had the largest market share between them, unchallenged till the early 90's when the revolutionary, and well marketed, Fisher and Paykel came along to steal their thunder. |

Was marketed as being revolutionary and in some ways it was, the transmission, motor and washbowl/agitator design were all new for Simpson and was a move away from the previous American style design to a more Japanese style design. |
