not sure of exact dates....but this was for a model that had a SelfClean filter....not that I found them all that effective compared to the belt drive versions...
the filter type your talking about would have had a screen under the top portion, and operate on the same basis as a Maytag powerfin agitator mounted filter.. ther have also been cases where the actual filter top portion would not snap back in place and hold the filter, so in a pinch, for get the filtering idea, and using a bolt and a large washer, screw them both in place securely....I have a D2000 I had to do that to, since I coul not locate a working top section |

For full sized washers most of these were screwed together and did not contain a lint filter. the 24" Thin-Twins still use a smaller version of this agitator that has 4 vanes that has the pull-off upper barrel which contains a fairly effective lint filter. The filter screen is what holds the two sections together, sometimes if the screen part gets broken we would just screw the two parts together with two SS screws, WP thoughtfully left two sets of holes for this purpose.
Larry your agitator will clean-up easily as PP plastic is easy to clean, although the DW may not be a very good way to remove mineral deposits, as it could take a 100 washings or more to do so in a DW. |
