Interesting.  I've not seen that console coloring on a machine of that vintage.

for adding the picture to the thread. i don't know exactly how to add pictures that aren't my own personal pictures.

and i don't know how to put this thread in the shopper's square. when i tried to start a "new thread" on the shopper's square, it automatically posts it here on the imperial side???

i'm not too familiar with the whirlpool dryers but is there a knob missing above the lint-trap door??

I have never seen a gold console like this either or a plastic lint filter door like the one this dryer has. Otherwise, it looks similar to the 1974 Inglis Supreme my parents had when I was a kid. (This one still has a metal lint filter door).

That's the very first (unmatched!) set of washer and dryer I had when my parents gave it to me! It's also the first set I worked on (when they were still my parent's). A few years ago I gave it to my cousin and she still uses them!
