Looks like a cool machine.  I've never seen this model Mobile Maid with a butcher block top.

That is not 1956. It is 1959/60 when the cycles were first offered and the butcher block top was $30 extra. My mother did not like the "modern" Textolite top with the stars or snowflakes on the gold glitter background so we explored the wood, but she did not dislike the modern design $30 worth. That was also the first model with the Power Shower.
