AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

It's back!

This is the GE Potscrubber I had for so many years. I have never, but never, had so many travails with one appliance in my life.

You know how much I love GE ranges. You could not give me a GE dishwasher if you threw in ten times its original retail price in cash.

And this dishwasher is why.

I Know That Machine WELL

I loved these machines in their day.
However, I later would grow up to realize how pathetic they really were at washing.
But their solid build and that ever so recognizable and extremely SOOTHING GE sound!
Ah, the memories.....

The Only....

...."Soothing sound" I ever got out of mine was the THUNK! it made hitting the curb.

It leaked. It rusted. It left yibbles on everything. It ate motors. It ate timers. It ate detergent dispensers. It smoked once.

It was throw it out or call an exorcist. I take the point that anything can be a lemon, but this was not just a lemon - it was a whole frickin' citrus grove.

LOL, Sandy.

From John (combo52), the GE Dishwashers are black sheep black basties, or choose your title - but didn't GE produce some otherwise good Potscrubbers (600 or 900 series?)? Just askin'

I think John will agree that GE did not produce "good" dishwashers until they got away from Plastisol liners, and even then, they were hardly world-class machines, the way that KitchenAids were in their heyday.

On mine, the Plastisol was a constant source of rust and problems, the racks were designed by aliens for dishwares unknown to humans on Earth, and the mechanical reliability was such that I got to where I could change out a motor/pump module in less than ten minutes.

If you ever get tempted to buy one of these, I suggest you marry a Kardashian instead. Lower maintenance.

LOL! I see SO MANY Potscrubbers for sale and now we now may know why. No need to find a Kardashian - got enough of my luggage to manage.

I like the Mobile Maids, although I wouldn't use one for a daily driver. Not sure which Mobile Maid is good, better, or best, if applicable.

Thank you. I love the sarcasm.
