A heat pump for the new LG dryer sounds interesting...but does it take 3 hours to dry a load of clothes?

Seems LG has at least learnt something out of that "exploding washer" fiasco. The support brackets for the suspension are finally made from metal and there are eight suspension struts now.

The dishwasher looks interesting but I don't like controls over the door top. I prefer them on the front of the machine.

From the video it looks like the middle rack still has a rotating arm, so I guess the waterfall is only good for covering the bottom rack. If it was going to have one I would prefer to have it under all racks. You can also control the pressure on each side of the fall so that may be a plus.

Guess we will find out how it works in the coming months. I wonder if it performs better and faster than a Bosch, Miele or Whirlpool, or if this is just something different.

Yeah, the WaterWall is only for the lower rack - as usual. No dishwasher, besides the GE, has a special spray system for the middle rack, but I think the middle (or upper) basket is actually the more important one. I don't have any "coverage issues" when washing pots, pans and plates in the lower rack - it's the upper rack where all the small items go that might or might not receive a direct spray.

The way the WaterWall works is by shooting jets of water from the back of the dishwasher onto a deflector that directs them upwards while moving back and forth - probably driven by a motor. You can briefly see it at 2:30 in the video below. Also notice how the jets that power the WaterWall actually take up about two inches in the back of the tub underneath the lower rack. Where's the coverage here, huh?

Okay, I hope this lady is a dwarf - or just how big are these machines?

Those washers are going to end up stinky, the 30min cycle will be abused no end. Misleading of her to say washes a full load in 30 mins when in fact the max load for that cycle is 8lbs.

"...WaterWall works is by shooting jets... onto a deflec

This method sounds distinctly old fashioned.

Wasn't there a top-loading American model that had a blade which deflected a jet of water? Youngstown dishwasher?

There seems to be a malfunction on the forum.

"...WaterWall works is by shooting jets... onto a deflector", is what the subject drift should have read.

Instead, it chopped the end off.

That machine was about as noisy as our BOL Kenmore was. It cleaned well, but it would wake the dead at night!

It sure looks fun, though! And the 180F rinse must have yielded some very sanitary dishes.

Why would anyone...

...pay over 11 grand for a Dacor range when you can get a Wolf for about the same price? The Dacor looks suspiciously like a Wolf.....just saying....

Why pay 11 grand for a range anyway-for that pricce you could just eat out and have someone else do the cooking!I don't need an 11 grand stove to do my cooking with.

reviewed.com tested Samsung's new TOL 5.6 cu.ft washer, 9.5 cu.ft.dryer and WaterWall dishwasher (including an internal shot of the dishwasher washing, which doesn't really wow me).

There's also a .9 cu.ft. topl loader for diapers with a 200F boil wash.
