Great machine.NO PRE RINSING!!!This is the same Whirlpool made dishwasher I have! It gets daily runs with mixed loads, holds lots and gets great results. I use Finish gel tabs and Jet Dry. I always set the "Pots and Pans" cycle with the high heat pre wash, main wash and final rinse.Everything sparkles with no spots.Quiet operation too.

These are great dishwashers! This is either the first or second incarnation of the "Ultra Wash" system. I bought this exact dishwasher in 1997. Used it as a portable for about 3 years and then gave it to my mother and converted it to a built-in. As of yesterday it was still going strong. Only issue over the years was rusting of the lower rack where the dinner plates sit. I replaced that rack a few years ago. Only repair ever done in 17 years. Being in a farm kitchen it often does 2 or 3 loads a day. |

you can honestly put a frosted chocolate cake in there on a plate, and run a Normal cycle.......and have it completely gone at the end.....you can't eat a delicious cake as fast as this machine can get rid of it!.....
been there, done that......several times...... I have two of these....both convertibles!.....one bought brand new in 1988, and still running strong! |

Very Reliable. I have had my machine since 1995. No repairs. Could use some new racks. But it is a work-horse. |

If I ever find a KA Superba version of this machine, I'm going to grab it. I really like the soil sensor system.
I found an electronic Kenmore Ultra Wash of 2005 (I think) vintage a while back and installed it in Dave's daughter & son in law's kitchen. It was barely used, only $30, and has been performing beautifully for them.
IIRC, this may be one of those machines they put an entire cake in, and there wasn't a trace of it left. |
