Great looking stove. First time I've seen those style windows in the oven doors.

Those windows look sort of like the "peek-a-boo" windows on some transmitters.

I LOVE it!

It is different enough that it would be the focal point of any house!

Beautiful, very well cared for range

The control panel looks very much like the style used on the mid-50s Whirlpool electric ranges. Pete, was it a complete appliance line or just ranges? Did they market gas ranges also? Thanks for sharing.

They made a complete line of appliances at some point. Not many washers and dryers however (some wringers still show for sale and I was told their automatics weren't very good). There are still plenty of Belanger ranges, fridges and built-ins around.

In the late seventies, some of their appliances were also branded as Gurney (Gurney had been previously associated with Tappan). Bélanger was bought by Whirlpool in the late seventies. My aunt still has a large (27" or 30"?) Bélanger self-cleaning wall oven from 1979, at my former job, we had a Whirlpool-branded non self-cleaning wall oven that was very similar and two friends of mine have the 24" Gurney variant of this wall oven (non self-cleaning either). I have a Gurney cooktop from the same period that shows the Bélanger emblem.

That's interesting. I wonder if they ever sold models like that in Ontario etc as Tappan-Gurney. I remember seeing that name around back in the day. Just not too common at least around here.

This was after Tappan Gurney, and I think they at least sold Gurney appliances with the Belanger badge elsewhere in Canada as I have seen some late 1970s Gurney appliances advertised in other provinces on Kijiji.

Here's a seventies Gurney "Chatelet" range that was for sale in Ontario (if I remember well) some time ago. Chatelet was a line of Belanger ranges since the 1950s so this was just a rebadge. Belanger and Roy had shaded red appliances like this range back then. I think they would match nicely with Frigidaire Poppy appliances.

This one is an older Bélanger, probably from the late 1960s.

Here's a Gurney self-cleaning wall oven similar to my aunt's Bélanger Self-Cleaning wall oven. Both brands were available in Québec. I know some of these were also branded as Whirlpool. Were there similar models in the US?

This is another older Bélanger range with monotube burners.

Seems like it was Philco that also used that style trim ring around the burners.
