early 70s ka dishwasher prob |

hey all, wanted to ask for help with an early 70s ka dishwasher. when i got the machine i had to test it out, it ran fine but was a bit noisy, the second time i ran it- it was even louder, and the third time i ran it the motor burned up. so i found a motor and replaced it and that took care of the noise now she runs nice and quiet. but then every time i used it the machine would quit during the fill of the third rinse, like the whole machine went dead so i thought it had a bad spot on the timer, so i got a new timer but the machine sill quits druing the fill on the third rinse..does anyone have any idea whats up?? it just seems odd to me and i cant figure it out thanks chris

maybe a selector switch??? or does it have a thermo water heating hold at that point? Maybe a water heating thermo that doesn't close? Let me know. Which model is it? Superba? | ||

On all the wash cycles other than Sani Cycle, the machine stops for one timer increment after the 3rd rinse fill (which is a short, approx 1 gallon fill). This segment would be the heating period of the sani cycle, and in fact the element does energize during this segment (you can hear the water "sizzle" if the room is very quiet and you listen very closely). On Sani Cycle, the timer motor stops at this segment and doesn't start again until the 180 deg. thermostat is triggered. But the timer motor doesn't stop on the other cycles, so the pump starts back up on the next increment. Could this be what is happening? T. | ||
