If the tube is rock hard after years of use, replace it, otherwise it's rarely a problem. Blow through it to clen it out, then put a TINY bit of vaseline on the the nipple on the water level switch, and the nipple on the tub air dome, so you don't get any leaks. The vaseline will help seal the hose onto the nipples. If you do want to replace it, just go to the plumbing department at Home Depot or Lowe's, get 3 or 4 feet of that inside diameter tubing. A bad hose usually means an unending flood, not a slightly higher level.
There should be a screw on the water level switch, in the center of it, to adjust the water level. A very minor adjustment is usualy all that's needed. Screwing it in is for higher water, screwing out is for lower water levels. Try just a quarter turn and see what happens. |
