Martin asked about my simple modification to a 60's Whirlpool/Kenmore, the last few pics in this attached old thread explain it. It helps spray more of the rinse spray into the tub, through the clothes, instead of so much going down the exterior tub, never hitting clothes.

As simple a change as it is, it still works almost 3 years later. I would bet that without it, I would reduce some of the suds-locking that WP/KM are known for. However, I just use low-suds in this machine, suds-lock is rare but happens, but in 90% of loads, this addition gives better rinsing with no side-effects.

Martin---Holler for anything else, or for newer pictures, but this is the exact added item still in use.--

****NO, actually, I remember about 2 weeks later I cut a piece of the same plastic with a tab at each end, it has stayed in for 2.5 years, not the picture with the one tab.*********but it gives you the idea

Thanks,
Mark

Go to nearly the end of the thread, pics of the tub top with the water spout removed and the plastic piece cut and added. It's just a lid from GLAD re-usable/disposable food storage containers, cut with scissors.

Thanks Mark.....I have the plastic splash shield, and the fill flume snaps in place, so I may have to alter a little compared to yours, but it gets me started on ideas....right now, most of my spray goes behind the tub and the clothes barely get sprinkled...

this video, courtesy of bestcleaningwasher, shows a forward fan spray pattern, just curious of the different ones from similar machines....
