Ad : " This Maytag Washer and Dryer set has been meticulously maintained and is truly in showroom condition. They may be "antique" or "vintage", but they run great and wash and dry clothes great! They are also much easier to use and much less prone to breakdowns and problems than the newer, more complicated kind.

The ONLY thing that keeps this set from being absolutely perfect is that there is a squeaky brake that stops the spin cycle that makes a 1 second annoying sound. Other than that, this set really is perfect and like new. I am sure it has MANY years of dependable service left. The only reason we are selling it is because my mom downsized from a house to an apartment that already has a washer and dryer.

Reply to this post to set a time to come here with a truck, two guys, and $100 cash and it's yours. If the ad is still up, it is available. I priced the set extremely low to avoid hagglers and lowballers.

emailed them

I emailed them to ask if it had the suds sav button and the lighted console. He said there was no suds sav button and he didn't know if the console lighted up or not but that his mother had used it for 25 years and had no problems with it. les.

Nice find

It's a 16 gallon tub single speed Fabric-Matic with 4 water temp buttons and 3 water levels. The only ones with the lighted panel have a divider above the timer dial for the glass panels. I know that neighborhood and have driven Bee Ridge Road many times.

....The pair I had as my first Maytags, even the Almond color.

That was one Hell of a little washer, and the dryer was great too. I was doing lots of sickroom laundry in those days, and those babies kept up.

I have 806s now, and they're very nice indeed, but that first Maytag did everything the 806 can do.
