Hi all, I have been thinking of my old friends house while selling my Blackstone and remembering all the cool stuff he had there. His estate was where I bought the Maytag. I remember he had a pair of 1958 Westinghouse W1000 and D1000 machines he used daily. The W1000 needed an escapement he said or something one time. He was a repairman 45 years and was a big Westinghouse guy. He even had Westinghouse cabinets in his kitchen from the 1940's. He had a few front loaders also. I seem to remember an L4-48 and WD50?? He had lots of N.O.S timers and front door gaskets that got tossed when they cleaned up the house but im wondering if the 1958 pair is worth saving? I can find out where they went if they didnt get tossed because he had an early Westinghouse washer from the 30's that had 2 tubs, one washed the other spun the clothes, and he had a locomotive washer and also a copper tub Easy wringer. I will be glad to help on these if anyone is interested. John.
