Wow They look great together and best of all its a Filterater and a Suds-saver washer it doesn't get much better than this unless they were both Sunny Yellow, LOL.
I really hated to sell that washer but I am really glad it is in your hands and that you put the effort into fixing it. Those Filterater dryers are the perfect way to dry clothing in this cold winter weather, right now it is 9 degrees F. John L. |

Ken, it's that one.
They also have a Custom Imperial double wall oven for sale but i didn't buy it as I already have one like it and I had only $45 in US funds on me! I did buy their Nutone vent hood with the remaining money! Good thing I programmed the GPS to avoid tolls as I wouldn't have been able to pay for one on my way back! The seller's son was concerned about tolls when he saw I spent all the money I had on me but I told him I should be fine and I was! Greg, I haven't even plugged the dryer yet, but I have a 1965 Filtrator (from John) that I use a lot along with your former 1965 washer. Compared to the pre-1961 Filtrators, these are easier to clean (they have a regular non-perforated drum and they use a door-mounted lint filter like the vented models. Their condenser rarely needs to be cleaned (I removed mine a few times to clean it and I never had to as it was already clean! The one in tha 1964 dryer will need t be cleaned a bit but it's not even as dirty as my 1957 is after drying a load of clothes! |

Ralph, you are right, I am thrilled!
3 out of my 6 sets didn't come together! I felt I'd have a hard time getting a matching dryer for that washer but it happened within a year and Paul found it for me! I scan the local and nearby Craigslist ads almost, everyday and would probably have found it anyway now but it's great to have someone around who cares about what you're searching for like Paul does! I reall enjoy this hobby! |

Congratulations on a very handsome pair. Always loved Frigidaires - but that has to be the coolest vintage they ever produced IMHO. Super happy for you! John |

I am very happy you have them. I have always loved the offset timers on this era of Frigidaires. Lawrence/Maytagbear |

Thanks Brian!
I did a few tests on the dryer, installed a light bulb in the display like I did for the washer's cabinet but the dryer seems to work fine. The cabinet will need repainting as well as the washer and I'd like to have the porcelain redone on the top. Does someone know a good place to have porcelain redone? |

Todd, The 1964-67 Filtrators have holes there and I have seen a few regular dryers with them too. I have seen something about their purpose in my documentation, I think it was to let air circulate in the control panel to avoid condensation.
My 1965 Filtrator (DCIF-65) has holes at the same place.
The picture below shows a DCIK (1966 Custom Imperial vented model) and it also has these holes under the control panel. |

a stunning set and they are rare birds. I think a 1964 washer with the multimatic trans is really rare. The factory closed in June-July for break and switched over to rollermatic transmissions so the remainder of 1964 was rollermatics. I saw a few years ago and all were rollermatics. The styling on these is so square, much more so than the rest of the run up to 1969. They really stand out.
