This isn't a clean looking model, but in case someone is looking for a washer to match the same dryer ?

Pricing in the ad on CL very confusing. Seller getting rid of multiple appliances- willing to make a "package" deal- washer definitely screams Wards Signature (aka Norge). Although the lid is backwards to the norm. |

IMHO, The Norge washers as well as Signature, Wizard, and later W.T.Grant Bradford were not THAT bad . I have a cousin who has an old 1960 Norge they use for throw rugs and old rags they dust and clean with. It's in their garage. I also have two older friends who are still, using their older Signature twenty pound models. None of which were ever serviced. My cousin followed my advice and replaced the belt every four years. The painted tub and plolytub models are the ones nobody here would be interested in but the porcelain tub models were the ones with fewer issues.

I better watch my postings. I can only advise to have a moderate glass of wine or your favorite refreshment, if these Wards/Norge models are 'unnerving".
It could be a good washer for the lesser finer threads in your household...or, I would take it off someone if they gave it to me, but probably would use my lottery winnings (in another life) on something else. |
