" Vintage Hotpoint refrigerator 48" wide. - $100 (Indian Hills)"

I remember when Hotpoint was a name my parents generation trusted and liked - not sure where in time this unit comes from - and would like to see more of it.

Ad reads: " Super garage fridge, 48" Hotpoint frost free side by side refrigerator. Runs great. Missing a shelf in the refrigerator compartment. Extra wide freezer. Call...."

Its in the 60s..

The nameplate and handles give it away, I believe the front was painted harvest later in its life, the door handles are almost exactly like the 63 Hotpoint I used to have." Wish I still had it, it was a zillion times better than the POS in my kitchen now..its at Dons Mothers as a second fridge, and she says its better than her new one!LOL

Hans, do you have any pictures of this model or point me to a source? I'm surprised - you think it was painted later on and not the original color? hmm.

Look at the sides!!

They are white!! Im almost positive this was made before harvest came out, I may be wrong...Where is John LeFever when I need him..LOL!!!???I know he would know, I think this fridge is about a 65 or 66 model.

As big as this thing is, I really like the handle design...

It looks like this was designed to be a built-in fridge. That might explain why the sides don't match the doors.
