I suppose all the new parts in this very nice Frigidaire Refrigerator helps justify the price. You do have to admit it's one clean machine.
Has anyone ever seen a Frigidaire like this that caught on fire in the food compartment? I saw several. The fan/light switch would short out causing the wiring to the switch to become red hot. The plastic moulding would burn and melt along with the insulation. It was really a mess! The plastic burn smell circulated throughout the whole refrigerator and even after the damage was repaired it was difficult for the service guys to eliminate the odor. I would sometimes go out with one of the service people to pick up one of these "smoked" Frigidaires and was told never to say anything to the customer indicating this was a "common problem." This "directive" came from the Frigidaire representitive. Things sure have changed since then. CLICK HERE TO GO TO twintubdexter's LINK on Los Angeles Craigslist |
