I require a replacement or the re-building of a Kingston timer motor which has an electrical fault.
This is fitted to a Maytag washing machine but Maytag cannot provide a replacement. I’ve attached a couple of photos of the motor and the addition information I have is as follows:-
Fitted to a Maytag model A208 washing machine which has timer p/n 2-04454-2. Details on the motor are:-
Kingston Mod 60-1 240vac, 3 watt, 1rpm, 60hz.
Note the 240vac as I live in England but regularly travel to Los Angeles.
As a last resort a 120vac unit would be acceptable.
If you can't find the 240 volt motor, you could use the 120 volt motor, part # 2205033, along with a ballast resistor to limit the current flow. Whirlpool does this in many dryers where a 120 volt timer motor is in the 240 volt heater circuit. The resistor WP uses is part # 279872
