I met a woman with eveverything. Pull out dishwasher, fridge, cooktop, and wall over. Pink 50's GE. She is inclined to keep them and invest in them, but would need some help. But maybe they should find a new home. What do the sages of vintagedom say?

If they are presently installed,

be her knight in shining armor and help her restore . . .

I'd say 'restore'!! Most of these appliances will be pretty easy to work with and you can still find parts out there. And if you ever have any questions, well, this is the place to ask them - the collective experience and knowledge of folks here on this site will get you through.

Would you be able to post some photos of the appliances?

Yes I will get some photos, she lives a bit out of the way, but I can get some from her. I see little GE, and have no parts. The dishwasher is unusable at this point.

Cool! Looking forward to that. That dishwasher may not be as far gone as you think....

Is she decides she's not up for it

I sent you an email about contacting me if she changes her mind. I'm in Ann arbor and already have a little pink ge 12 cu. Ft. Combo fridge purring away in my kitchen. I would LOVE to add some loving ge companions to little Flossie(that's what I named her) . I am new here so if I did something improper by either emailing privately or commenting publicly please let me know. I need to learn the rules of these boards so please forgive if I have give offense.
