Surfertee:
You're new here, and I'm glad you're with us. I wanted to show you what a Shopper's Square post would ideally look like. We aim for a direct link to the ad, and a photo from it. The reason for the photo is that when people are searching for info on a particular appliance, they don't just find two-year-old dead links, and discussion of something, but no visual reference. You make a link by going up to the Address Bar in your browser and clicking on the Web address it contains for the page you're on. The address will turn blue (on most browsers I'm familiar with, anyway). Now, click on "Edit" in the browser menu, then click "Copy." Then, position your cursor in the text box of your post, and click "Edit" in the browser menu again, then click "Paste." The link will be pasted into your post. You can also put the cursor in the "URL Link to Share" box below the text box and do the same thing; either way works fine. For a photo, right-click the photo in the ad. A menu comes up; click on "Save Image As." Name the file whatever you want to, and save it wherever it's easy to find on your hard drive. When you want to put the photo in a post here, just go down the posting page to where it says "Upload JPEG Format Picture to share in message." Click the "Browse" button, and navigate to the picture file you saved. Click on its name, then click "Open." The file name will now appear beside the "Browse" button. Last, just click on the "Preview Message" button and look at what you posted; you can make any needed corrections at this time. If you're happy with the post, click "POST this to Discuss-O-Mat," and the post will be posted to the site. Below, I've posted a link to your CL ad and a picture from it. Again, welcome. And oh, yeah - pretty range! CLICK HERE TO GO TO danemodsandy's LINK on Raleigh Craigslist |
