Well my 2001 GE Profile finally died. It may not be a total loss, however, I am done with it for now. My 1972 Lady Kenmore 800 is finally going to be repaired, and used as my daily driver for now. What I need help with is, the new part # for a bleach dispenser tube for this machine. I know the original is n/a, but is there a replacement one close enough, that would work? It needs the part that attaches to the tub, and the hose that attaches to the triple dispenser. Any help from you experts, would be greatly appreciated.
Hugs,
David

The sub-to part number again is 357006. This hose is a little bit longer than the 1972 original as it was meant first for the 1974 large capacity Lady and then used on the remaining 70s and 1980s belt-drive Ladies. It is NLA from Whirlpool now as well and is meant to be used only on models with the triple dispenser.

Sears parts direct says they have it, but I don't see any other online retailers with the part in stock.

Using sealer we can often re-use the original hose if it isn't too far gone, but if you want a new one I would order one before they're all the way gone.

Sears parts direct says they have it, ...
Sears, unfortunately, is known for listing items as in-stock that are not or that are NLA, which the buyer finds out via a post-transaction e-mail.

I wanted to thank Kenmoreguy64, and DADoES, for the quick reply, and help! I will give Sears a try, and hope they know their tail end from a hole in the ground. Rare but it has to happen some time. LOL If I can repair it, would 100% Silicone be a viable solution?

I've had the same problem with Sears not having something when they say they do, but I have also found a few hard to find items there. In this case they seem like the most likely supplier to have this hose, since as far as I know the triple dispenser was KM only, and many Lady Ks were sold with maintenenace contracts as compared to lower level units. To support those contracts Sears would have to have a wide variety of parts in stock. From what I've heard they would often buy a many-year's supply of parts and then keep them for however long the supply lasts.

It doesn't cost anything to place an order and see what happens.

Good luck David!

Gordon

Search results seem a little different tonight than they did yesterday, but A-1 Appliance Parts shows they have the hose.

Here's a link to their search screen. Might be worth a call, especially if the Sears option come up empty. If the screen doesn't land directly on the hose, just enter 357007 in the search box.

Again, good luck!
